hey merg! i recommend going back to merchant kale and buying his note talking about a certain "physick", also you may find something else next to him the next time you visit. another tip i have is that every time you enter a new place that is gray on your map, you may see something sticking out in the fog of the map looking like a headstone. if you go to that headstone looking mark, you will find the map of the area, which is very useful. last tip, tho you dont seem to need it based on how you already leveled up: many people ignore vigor and dont level it up, but its a very important stat to level, of course dont focus all runes into it, but remember to take care of it, as it will take care of you back

Pro tip: Rebind Heavy Attack and Skill to your Mouse4 and Mouse5 buttons, its much better to play this way :) And switching weapons to R and F (or whatever you like and is close to WASD)

you cant use the jellyfish guy yet, rest and make it night (night and day will have different effects though its not common mostly if its an open area and nothing is there try night) open the map and select the grace at the church for a necessary item

This is going to be one of the best in depth first playthroughs of elden ring on RUclips. I can't wait to see more of this.

Just some tips no spoilers: • Read item descriptions for items armor weapons etc. It gives lots of lore but even disregarding that, some items have special effects that are explained in the descriptions • EXPLORE as much as you want. No need to rush to progress the story but you seem fine with that so far. • This game gives NO guidance for quests, so I’d recommend experimenting as much as you want (maybe besides killing NPCs). But there are lots of quests with lots of different and complex endings. Maybe keep notes if that’s your forte? • There ARE multiple illusory walls in caves and castles that only disappear when you hit them so have fun with that info 😊

and while leveling up just spend them all cuz you will later be able to respend them. you only should level the stats from the Weapons you like to use or are using. The stats they scale with is shown in the info with S to E while S is of course the best scaling. Dual Wielding makes your "Strength" go up by 50% which means you can use a weapon that needs 30 Strength while you have 20 strength. So Dual Wielding makes your 20 strength practically go up by 10 cuz it is +50% from your current strength Also everytime you hear some kind of "Pling" when you are hitting enemies most of the enemies can be critical hit by pressing light attack near the back or front of the enemy for a short duration. Bigger enemies get a orange glowing spot which is the critical hit spot for them and you need to do a light attack very near it too. PS: using a weapon you don't have the stats for it will deal no damage

One trap that new players fall for is the armour for "stats". The increase in your negation stats is quite insignificant, so in these type of game, i equip armour only for the drip. But of course you can play however you want.

if you are struggling with armor stats.. don't worry too much. Having no armor or any armor doesnt make a LOT of difference. If you find an armor piece cool looking just equip it. The most dmg negation you will ever get will be probably from talismans so yea.

On a double-triple side note, if a weapon has a cross next to it on a menu, you do not meet the proper Stat requirements to weild it and it will deal massively reduced damage. if a weapon has a specific STR requirement missing you may still be able to use it with 2 handing.

your skills are already very impressive, but incase you wanted to know here is a short breakdown of all the stats Vigour: Very important stat, controls your max health, it is reccomended that this be one of your highest stats otherwise you are prone to getting oneshot and killed in just a few hits Mind: Controls the Maximum amount of Mana you have, this should only be high in a weapon art focused build or mage builds that require alot of mana Endurance: this stat governs the maximum stamina aswell as equip load, which is basically how much heavy armour you can throw on before you start fat rolling or medium rolling. a high END character can mid roll even with Very heavy armor Now onto the damage stats that I will explain a bit differently STR: Speccing purely into strength allows you to weild heavy weapons like collosal swords, greataxes and hammers, that such, their advantage is that they can deal large damage in just a few swings and more Importantly you can easily stance break enemies and bosses with just a few charged strong attacks and allows you to get critical hits easily, the cons are that these weapons are obviously very slow and damage can be a bit lackluster without critical strikes not to mention you will be needing heavy armour to pair with such slow weapons to tank blows DEX: pure Dex builds have some of the highest damage output in the game and use weapons such as Katana's rapiers, daggers, twinswords, glaives and scythes. these weapons are usually pretty lightweight and are obviously fast striking with combo hits. however the cons are that dex builds can achieve stance breaks much less than strength builds and tend to have lighter armor. Dex builds are often accompanied with ailment inflicting weapons like a frosty katana or a bleeding katana. STR + DEX: Builds that level both of these stats equally are "quality" builds, these are usually very versatile and use weapons like swords, claymore's and greatswords, spears and halberds and some katana's, these builds dont usually have the high damage of pure Dex or Stance breaking power of Pure strength, but they make up in their versatility and also usually have the strongest ashes of war. INT: intelligence improves power of magic sorceries and magical weapons and a few weapon buffs. that is about it, Magic usually has great range and huge damage output but relies on more mana Faith: Improves power of incantations, which include lightnining spells, fire spells, and several buffs and healing spells and improves weapons with these Things, it also has a variety of weapon buffs. Arc: (what does this stat do again?) important for some specific builds That utilize arcane scaling weapons like Rivers of blood for a dex build. Many builds utilize multiple of these things, like as a STR build it is good to have a little bit of Dex to meet certain weapon requirements. Popular builds are Faith + str and Dex + arc or pure STR and Pure DEX

tbh, when armor has such a tiny difference in stats, I'd just use whatever you think looks cooler
